IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I

In the Matter of the Seals

of the Courts for the State of Hawai‘i

ORDER

(By: Recktenwald, C.J., Nakayama, McKenna, Pollack, and Wilson, JJ.)

WHEREAS, Section 606-3 (Supp. 2013) of the Hawai‘i Revised

Statutes (HRS), provides that: "Each court of record shall have

a seal, which shall be approved by the Supreme Court"; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Court Administrator of the First Circuit

for the State of Hawai‘i has submitted for approval four (4) court

seal designs for use by the First Circuit.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:

1. The four (4) court seal designs submitted by the First

Circuit and appended hereto, are approved;

2. Any future revisions of these court seals shall be

submitted to the Supreme Court for approval in accordance with HRS

section 606-3; and

3. The Chief Clerk of the Supreme Court shall maintain

a file with copies of all court seals being used by the First Circuit.
