Immunity

Testimony and information given regarding claims submitted to the Fund shall be absolutely privileged and no lawsuit based on the testimony and information may be instituted, except that the trustees may take such steps as are necessary to protect the interests of the Fund. Trustees and the trustees’ staff and the Board of Directors and members and staff of the Hawaiʻi State Bar shall be immune from suit and liability for any conduct in the course of their official duties.
