Haw. Civil Jury Instr. 19.7

NO PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR DAMAGES FOR NON-ECONOMIC LOSS

In awarding damages, if any, for unfair or deceptive acts

or practices, you must not include any amount:

1. For non-economic losses, such as emotional distress;

2. To punish or make an example of defendant(s); or

3. For legal fees or costs.
