LEGAL CAUSE — DAMAGE

The [discharge] [failure to hire] [demotion] [suspension] [harassment] [(describe other discriminatory or retaliatory treatment alleged)] is the legal cause of [loss] [injury] [or] [damage] if it directly and in natural and continuous sequence produces or contributes substantially to producing such damage, so that it can reasonably be said that, but for the [discharge] [failure to hire] [harassment] [(describe other discriminatory or retaliatory treatment)], the [loss] [injury] [or] [damage] would not have occurred.
