ISSUES ON PLAINTIFF’S CLAIM — STATEMENT WAS DEFAMATORY
A statement is defamatory if it tends to harm (claimant’s) reputation by lowering [him] [her] in the estimation of at least a substantial and respectable minority of the community. This includes exposing (claimant) to [hatred] [ridicule] [or] [contempt] or injuring (claimant’s) [business] [reputation] [or] [occupation].
