Causation Generally
CAUSATION GENERALLY
An element of [charge] is that the defendant engaged in [conduct] which
caused [result]. Conduct is the cause of a harm when the conduct occurred before
the harm, and, when, without the conduct, the harm would not have happened.
Harm is not necessarily caused by the conduct of only one person. Two or
more persons, factors or things may operate at the same time, either independently
or together, to cause a harm. Each of the participating acts or omissions is regarded
as causing the harm.
