Criminal Contempt
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT
In order to find Defendant guilty of Criminal Contempt, you must find the
State has proved the following three (3) elements beyond a reasonable doubt: (1)
Defendant was released by court order upon the condition Defendant
subsequently appear personally in connection with a criminal proceeding;
(2) Defendant failed to appear on the required date; and
(3) Defendant acted intentionally.
“Intentionally” means it was Defendant’s conscious objective or purpose to
engage in criminal contempt.
