Bigamous Marriage Contracted Outside Delaware
BIGAMOUS MARRIAGE CONTRACTED OUTSIDE DELAWARE
In order to find Defendant guilty of Contracting a Bigamous Marriage Outside
the State of Delaware, you must find the State proved the following four (4) elements
beyond a reasonable doubt:
(1) Defendant [contracted/purported to contract] a marriage with [person];
(2) Defendant was aware [Defendant/person] had a living spouse at that time;
(3) Defendant was aware Defendant went out of Delaware to contract marriage;
and
(4) Defendant acted knowingly.
“Knowingly”means Defendant was aware [Defendant/person] was already
married.
