Bigamy
BIGAMY
In order to find Defendant guilty of Bigamy, you must find the State proved the
following three (3) elements beyond a reasonable doubt:
(1) Defendant [contracted/purported to contract] a marriage with [person];
(2) Defendant was aware [Defendant/person] had a living spouse at that time;
and
(3) Defendant acted knowingly.
“Knowingly”means Defendant was aware [Defendant/person] was already
married.
