Contract Modification
CONTRACT MODIFICATION
Generally, a written contract may be modified by a subsequent oral agreement.
An oral agreement that modifies a written contract must be specific, direct, and clear
about the parties’ intention to change their original agreement. [If the contract
concerns services, the modification may also require additional consideration if a
basic term of the contract is affected.]
