Unintentional Infliction of Emotional Distress
UNINTENTIONAL INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS
If someone’s negligence causes fright or severe emotional distress to a person
within the immediate area of physical danger created by that negligence, and if the
person suffers physical consequences as a result of that severe emotional distress,
then the injured person may recover damages.
