Assault and Battery – Offensiveness
OFFENSIVENESS
[Plaintiff’s name] has alleged that [defendant’s name]'s contact with
[him/her] was offensive. For contact to be offensive, it must offend a reasonable
sense of personal dignity; that is, it must be contact that would offend the ordinary
person and not one who is unduly sensitive about [his/her] personal dignity.
