DOG BITE

The owner of a dog that causes [injury / death / loss] to person or property is

liable in damages, unless the [injury / death / loss] occurred when [plaintiff’s name]

was:

(1) Committing or attempting to commit a trespass or other criminal

offense on the owner’s property; or

(2) Committing or attempting to commit a criminal offense against any

person; or

(3) Teasing, tormenting or abusing the dog.

[Plaintiff’s name] bears the burden to prove that none of the exceptions apply.
