Temporary Absence for Personal Reasons

6.4.1 A patient may be absent from the nursing home for reasons other than

hospitalization for a period of 18 days per calendar year without interruption of

payment to the hospice for room and board, as long as such absences are

provided for in the patient's plan of care.
