Codes
3.1.1 The DMAP uses CPT®/HCPCS procedure codes as its listing of descriptive terms
and identifying codes for reporting medical services and procedures performed
by practitioners. The purpose of the terminology is to provide a uniform language
that will accurately designate medical, surgical, and diagnostic services.
3.1.2 The DMAP uses revenue codes as its listing for reporting services and
procedures performed by hospice organizations.
3.1.3 Valid hospice codes are found in Section 9.0 titled Hospice Revenue Codes.
