Interpretation

These rules are to be interpreted to provide for the just determination of every

criminal proceeding, to secure simplicity in procedure and fairness in administration,

and to eliminate unjustifiable expense and delay.

History

COMMENT TO 2016 AMENDMENTS This rule has been redrafted to conform to the general restyling of the federal rules in 2002. It is identical to the federal rule.
