Continuances and Advancements

(a) Motions for continuances or changes in

scheduled court dates must be submitted in writ -

ing in compliance with Section 31a-1 (a) and filed

no later than seven days prior to the scheduled

date. Such motions must state the precise reasons

for the request, the name of the judicial authority

scheduled to hear the case, and whether or not all

other parties consent to the request. After consulting with the judicial authority, the clerk will handle

bona fide emergency requests submitted less than

seven days prior to scheduled court dates.

(b) Trials that are not completed within the allotted prescheduled time will be subject to continuation at the next available court date.
