Conn. Practice Book § 1-6
Criminal Division
The criminal division of the Superior Court shall
consist of the following parts:
(1) A—Capital felonies, class A felonies, and
unclassified felonies punishable by sentences of
more than twenty years.
(2) B—Class B felonies and unclassified felonies punishable by sentences of more than ten
years but not more than twenty years.
(3) C—Class C felonies and unclassified felonies punishable by sentences of more than five
years but not more than ten years.
(4) D—Class D felonies and all other crimes,
violations, motor vehicle violations, and infractions.
