Exercising Legal Rights in Permissible Manner
The defendant, (name), claims that (insert applicable pronoun) was exercising (insert
applicable pronoun) legal rights in (insert appropriate description, e.g., evicting the plaintiff,
arresting the plaintiff, attempting collection of a debt, etc.). If the defendant was exercising
(insert applicable pronoun) legal rights in a manner that would not otherwise constitute
extreme and outrageous conduct, your verdict must be for the defendant.
