HealthFirstColorado(Colorado'sMedicaidprogram)willnolongerreimburseResidentialChildCareFacilities(RCCFs)whoareenrolledasProviderType(PT)52.EffectivefordatesofserviceJuly1,2022,onlyservicesrenderedunderEarlyandPeriodicScreening,DiagnosisandTreatment(EPSDT)inaccordancewithSection8.280areacoveredResidentialChildCareFacility(RCCF)benefit.

HealthFirstColoradowillonlyreimburseresidentialtreatmentformemberswhenprovidedinaQualifiedResidentialTreatmentProgram(QRTP)oraPsychiatricResidentialTreatmentFacility(PRTF).

Thereare2exceptionstothispolicy:TheChildren'sHabilitationResidentialProgram(CHRP)Waiverproviders,whoareenrolledasPT52andPT36,maycontinuetosubmitclaimsforclinicalservicesthroughtheirRCCFproviderenrollment.CrisisStabilizationUnits(CSUs)arethesecondexception.

ProvidersmustbeenrolledasaHealthFirstColoradoproviderinorderto:

SubmitclaimsforpaymenttotheHealthFirstColorado

TheHealthFirstColoradoreimbursesprovidersformedicallynecessarymedicalandsurgicalservicesfurnishedtoeligiblemembers.

ProvidersshouldrefertotheCodeofColoradoRegulations,ProgramRules(10CCR2505-10),forspecificinformationwhenprovidingmedical/surgicalservices.
