ProvidersmustbeenrolledasaHealthFirstColorado(Colorado'sMedicaidprogram)providerinorderto:
TreataHealthFirstColoradomember,and
SubmitclaimsforpaymenttoHealthFirstColorado.
Imagingandradiologyservicesareabenefitunderthefollowingconditions:
Servicesmustbeauthorizedandsupervisedbyalicensedphysician.
Theservicesareperformedtodiagnoseconditionsandillnesseswithspecificsymptoms.
TheservicesareperformedtopreventortreatconditionsthatareHealthFirstColoradocoveredbenefits.
Theservicesarenotroutinediagnostictestsperformedwithoutapparentrelationshiptotreatmentordiagnosisforaspecificillness,symptom,complaint,orinjury.
RadiologyservicesareperformedbyaproviderwithequipmentcertifiedbytheColoradoDepartmentofPublicHealthandEnvironment(CDPHE)andenrolledasaHealthFirstColoradoProvider.
TheDepartmentofHealthCarePolicy&Financing(theDepartment)periodicallymodifiesbillinginformation.Therefore,theinformationinthismanualissubjecttochange,andthemanualisupdatedasnewbillinginformationisimplemented.
