StartingJuly1,2022,theColoradoDepartmentofHealthCarePolicy&Financing(theDepartment)hasexpandedfamilyplanningandfamilyplanning-relatedhealthbenefitsavailabletoindividualswhootherwisewouldnothavebeeneligibleforHealthFirstColorado(Colorado'sMedicaidprogram)coverage.Thisexpansionisbasedontwo(2)billspassedinthe2021legislativesession,SB21-009andSB21-025,anditwasexpandedin2023duetoSB23-189.
FamilyPlanningBenefitExpansionincludes:
PeopleresidinginColoradowhodonotmeetcitizenshiprequirementsbutmeetallothereligibilitycriteriaforHealthFirstColoradoareeligibleforcoverageoffamilyplanningservices,familyplanning-relatedservicesandemergencyservices.
PeopleresidinginColoradowithincomesbetween133%to260%FederalPovertyLimit(FPL)butmeetallothereligibilitycriteriaforHealthFirstColoradoareeligibleforcoverageoffamilyplanningandfamilyplanning-relatedservices.
