activein force · 2026-08-01 – presentcompiled-edition

DHCS implemented billing system enhancements to better enforce the timely hospice notice

of election requirement and better protect the integrity of the Medi-Cal program. ‹‹When

DHCS receives the Medi-Cal Hospice Program Attestation Form through the secure, online

Medi-Cal Provider Portal, a unique hospice indicator code is added in Medi-Cal’s

fee-for-service billing system to denote that Medi-Cal fee-for-service members have

voluntarily elected and are authorized to receive hospice services.››
