Criminal Filing
If you wish to file subsequent documents for Maricopa County Superior Court criminal cases, you can do so using the Clerk's eFiling Online portal. eFiling in criminal cases is optional for self-represented litigants.
Note for in-person services: Clerks are committed to assisting you in the Superior Court, however; to ensure fairness, clerks cannot give legal advice.
For those filing to have your civil and/or firearms rights restored:
To restore your civil and/or gun/firearms rights, you must complete an application and submit to the Clerk of Court the following information:
If you were convicted of a felony, you must provide/have one of the following:
An Order Discharge from Probation on file with this court.
A copy of your Absolute Discharge Form provided by the Department of Corrections.
You must submit a separate application to restore your civil and/or gun/firearms rights for each case number in which you were convicted. (For example: If you have three separate criminal case convictions - you would need to submit three separate applications).
If you apply to restore your gun/firearms rights, you must complete section VII of the application. In this section, you must tell the Court why you want your right to possess a gun/firearm restored. Be as specific and as clear as possible.

Criminal Case Filing Options
The Clerk's Office offers the ability to efile criminal court documents for Maricopa County. You can learn more by visiting the Clerk's eFiling Online tool.
Filing hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. For your convenience, we also offer alternative filing services for those customers who do not want to stand in line at the filing counter, or for those who wish to file after business hours.

Mailing Instructions
Please include original documents, copies, and a self-addressed stamped envelope so that the Office can mail copies back to you. The Clerk's office will conform (copy stamp) up to five copies of new case filings and up to three copies of subsequent filings. Include the name, address and phone number of the filing party in the upper left corner of all documents. Documents can be sent via the United States Postal Service or a third-party commercial carrier.
The date of filing will be the date the documents are received by the Clerk's Office.
Fees
All applicable fees must be included with the documents to be filed. For information on the fees for filing various documents, please visit our fees page. Either money order with signature and address or business check made payable to the "Clerk of the Court" are accepted for payment. Payments may also be made by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED. A business check will only be accepted if it matches the business name of a party in the case or if submitted from a law firm, process server/runner service or certified document preparer.
