The Arizona Judicial Branch offers the ability to eFile Civil/Tax and Family Law, & Probate post-initiation documents in Maricopa County through authorized Electronic Filing Service Providers (EFSPs). We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the below resources and attend a training session prior to eFiling.

eFiling for criminal cases and juvenile adoption, adoption certification, delinquency, emancipation, guardianship, dependency and severance cases is available through a separate eFiling Online Portal that is managed by the Clerk's Office.

Avoid Common Mistakes: Review common reasons why eFiled documents are returned as deficient:

Filer obtains the packet and includes “instruction” pages with the filing as the main/lead document.

Document not in correct “Pleading” format, including:

First page missing case number/wrong case number (e.g. No parties listed, not captioned for Maricopa County Superior Court, and/or wrong County).

Case caption (wrong case caption, reversed case caption, missing a Plaintiff/Petitioner and/or Defendant/Respondent name).

Exhibits filed as a main document.

Missing filing party info upper left corner.

Filers attempt to eFile into an Order of Protection case; excluded per Administrative Order 2021-183

Non-payment of filing fee or appearance fee

Document not signed
