"Under the Influence"
A person is “under the influence” of [an alcoholic beverage] [an intoxicating liquor] [an inhalant] [any controlled substance] [or a combination of these substances] when as a result of [its] [their] use the person's physical or mental abilities are impaired to the extent that the person no longer has the ability to [drive] [operate] a vehicle with the caution characteristic of a person of ordinary prudence who is not under the influence.
