Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance - Second Degree - Possession of Listed Chemical for Methamphetamine Manufacture
, the defendant in this case, has been charged with the crime of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree.
To prove that the defendant committed this crime, the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the following elements:
(1) the defendant knowingly possessed a [listed chemical described in AS 11.71.200]; and
(2) the defendant did so with the intent to manufacture any material, compound, mixture, or preparation that contains [methamphetamine, or its salts, isomers, or salts of isomers] [an immediate precursor of methamphetamine, or its salts, isomers, or salts of isomers].
