Failure to Register as a Sex Offender or Child Kidnapper - Second Degree
, the defendant in this case, has been charged with the crime of failure to register as a sex offender or child kidnapper in the second degree.
To prove that the defendant committed this crime, the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the following elements:
(1) the defendant is required to register as a [sex offender] [child kidnapper] under AS 12.63.010;
(2) the defendant knew that he/she was required to register under AS 12.63.010; and
(3) the defendant failed to [register as a [sex offender] [child kidnapper]] [file a written notice of [change of residence] [change of mailing address] [establishment of an electronic or messaging address or any change to an electronic or messaging address] [establishment of an internet communication identifier or any change to an internet communication identifier]] [file a[n] [annual] [quarterly] written verification] [supply accurate and complete information required to be submitted [insert specific requirement[s] listed in this paragraph].
