Alaska Criminal Pattern Jury Instruction 11.46.500(a)(1)
Forgery – First Degree
_________________________, the defendant in this case, has been charged with the crime of forgery in the first degree.
To prove that the defendant committed this crime, the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the following elements:
[(1) that the defendant [falsely made] [falsely completed] or [falsely altered] a written instrument];
[(1) that the defendant knowingly [possessed] [uttered] a forged instrument];
(2) that the defendant did so with the intent to defraud; and
(3) that the instrument is or purports to be part of an issue of [money] [securities] [postage] [revenue stamps] [other valuable instruments] issued by a government or governmental agency.
